Last updated: 18 May 2026

Foursquare Gospel Church, Chapel of Joy (Lekki District HQ) is committed to providing a safe environment for children, young people, and vulnerable adults. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

Our commitment

  • We take all concerns about abuse, harm, or neglect seriously.
  • We appoint suitable leaders and volunteers and provide appropriate training where possible.
  • We limit access to personal and pastoral information to those who need it for their role.
  • We cooperate with statutory authorities when required by law.

Children and young people

Ministries involving children and teens are led by approved leaders. We do not permit unsupervised one-to-one contact between leaders and minors. Parents or guardians may be contacted for follow-up where appropriate and lawful.

  • A serious crime is disclosed or suspected.
  • We are required to disclose by law or court order.
  • The person consents to wider sharing for their care and safety.
